The Iolite still works, and the design of the pipe-stem has been changed so it DOESN'T break off anymore.

BTW, when I heard the problems with the plastic pipe-stem had been addressed, I e-mailed the company about the problems I'd had. They quickly mailed me two of the new ones: no charge. That shows a lot of class and consumer awareness. Kudos.

Two tips:

(1) It's important to use a high-quality, triple-filtered butane [Definitely Not Ronson's!!!!!]... otherwise the Iolite will spit, sputter... and occasionally won't ignite.

(2) Grinding down the herbs to a fine powder is a bad idea. Dust quickly clogs up the Iolite's heating chamber so it won't draw at all.

If you're reading this review, you're most likely doing research and trying to decide between the Keurig line (B40,B50,B60), the Tassimo, or the Senseo. Out of those three, the Keurig is the best looking, the most durable, has the best heating and pumping mechanism, and has the largest variety of coffees and teas available. The Tassimo's versatility is tempting, but variety of coffees is lacking, the machine is a first-run model that does not feel as quality as the Keurig (I could barely find a piece of metal in the entire thing), and it cannot be set to warm itself up like the Keurig. The Senseo isn't bad and I may even consider getting it as a second machine, but it is kind of lame how you need two pods to brew an 8 oz cup of coffee. Considering the price of pods that I was looking at, it would outprice both the Keurig and the Tassimo for daily usage.

If you are doing your research on which is the best K-cup holder, stop now and buy this! It is very sturdy and compact! It spins perfectly and looks really nice sitting right next to your coffee maker. I even move (nothing falling out as I am walking with it)this over to the table at dessert time and present it to my guests. You should see the smile on their face with they spin it around and see the different selections they can choose from. It fits 30 k-cups, which allows me to have a nice selection of coffee, tea and hot chocolate at my finger tips.

My husband and I love this holder! When we first got our keurig we had a bunch of different varieties and we were able to load this thing up so that we could easily browse. Now we have our favorites and it is so nice to be able to keep it out on the counter without having to take up counter space with the boxes of k-cups. Now the boxes are all organized back in the pantry and my favorite varieties are featured in this little holder. It has a small footprint and it's 2 sided and spins easily. My husband and i like very different varieties so we decided we would each take a side. So we just spin it around and grab from our side.

I got this ottoman and free shipping and it's the perfect fit and complement to my brown leather couch. The ottoman arrived in about 3 days, which was 10 days faster than estimated...a fantastic surprise. The tray is nice, but is a little difficult for some uses since it's recessed and not flat. I wish the smaller ottomans had storage as well, but for the price I can't ask for anymore. It is brown, but is a very dark espresso, so if you're matching a lighter brown, this won't work. However, it is NOT black. I'm very pleased with it's quality for the price. The sides are not solid, just faux leather stretched over a box frame. Not an issue at all if you ask me. The only last regrettable feature is that since it's a storage ottoman, your feet cannot slide under it when seated on the couch. Great deal. I recommend it.

I have gotten down in the dumps around November every year. This year it got bad enough that I finally decided to buy a light box. What can I say, it works! I use it in the morning for 30 minutes while I check emails. If I have time I use it in the evening when I get home from work for another 25 minutes. The only cons I can think of is that the ionizer thing smells bad. Sort of a strong plastic smell. I have been using the light box for around a month. I feel very good. I am not down in the dumps at all. I highly recommend this if you have seasonal effective disorder like I do. I would have bought this years ago had I known it would actually work work.

I do not regret it. It's not as hard to manuever as I feared, or as heavy. I could do without the attachments, though. They really do cut the vibration down, but I think they might be good to mix things up. The vibration is so strong that even with the attachments it's pretty intense. The instructions say that it should only be running for 25 minutes at a time, then turn it off. I don't think you'd need more than 25 minutes unless you want to scrape yourself off the ceiling later.

 This filter is pricy; basically over a year of paper filters in cost. That's a pretty big risk for something not Chemex blessed. I was worried the coffee wouldn't come out as good, but I took a chance anyway.

To my relief this filter makes a great cup of coffee!!! You get the flavor and richness of a French Press, but with much less sludge. It's like the best of all worlds!

Also, the Kone is MUCH easier to cleanup than a French press. You have to dump and scoop the used grounds as opposed to just lifting out the paper filter. I've been handwashing and it only takes a minute more to cleanup.

I experimented with grind and found that a slightly finer grind than what I use with paper filters worked better. If you go with the same or a coarser grind the filter mesh isn't plugged as much and water shoots through so fast it doesn't have time to steep. If you go too fine everything gets plugged up and you get a lot of sludge. You'll want to spend some time tweaking.

Unlike other wire mesh filters and such that I've seen this filter is sturdy and well made. Instead of a wire mesh it's a perforated metal sheet which is far more resilient.

As for sizing, I have a 10 cup Chemex pot and the COAVA Kone is a perfect fit.

I'm quite happy! Well worth the investment!
